Humboldt Plaza Perch – Brooklyn, NY
Humboldt Plaza Perch, Brooklyn, NY in conjunction with the New York City Department of Design & Construction with Austin Thomas and the Percent for Art Program.
• Fabrication and installation of custom perch, a gazebo like structure commissioned by the New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program. The commission was part of the revitalization of Humboldt Street through the NYC Plaza Program, a city-wide effort to create new neighborhood plazas by transforming underused streets into desirable public access spaces.
• The structure is fabricated in type 316 stainless steel with a glass bead finish, Coney Island boardwalk reclaimed wood decking and seating and acrylic colored panels.
